Hi all, girls!

Finally I got around to posting (our Xmas was a bit busy, with guests coming every day...)

So, first of all, the ornie I received from Margaret:


The most beautiful quaker strawberry I have ever seen, I just love it, it is hanging in our living room (and will not be packed away after xmas!)

Next, I have received an exchange from Pascale, which I just love!


A gingerbread man ornie, pins, a beaded fob, and some small felt ornies, which will be of use, I am sure! And also a cross stitched card kit!

We only put it up on 23 Dec, so the kids only see it on Xmas Eve (they are spending 23 night and 24 day at grandma), as they still think that Angels are bringing the tree and the presents...

Christmas Ornament from Janien!

Just in time for Christmas, I received this exchange Janien made for me. It is such a lovely package, even more dearly to me since I know Janien is ill, yet she did a wonderful job.
she stitched me a bookmark, and a lovely tabecloth.
She added some great goodies to her package, such as chocolate (yummie!) and a scented bag, smells great, even wrapped in plastic I can smell it. I think it's cinnamon, fits perfect to this time of year. Also a nice piece of backing fabric. Thanks so much, Janien!

Santa came on Christmas Eve

I couldn't see how to insert a photo into a regular post for crazy exchange so I'll put it over here. Hope that's alright with everyone.

Saturday night while we were having some friends over for dinner, look what happened outside:

Seattle is a very hilly city so snow and ice can cause quite a few problems for driving, but gosh it sure is pretty. I know the Netherlands had snow once (at least,) and I suspect some of you northern girls (Iceland, Finland) probably have some snow. Why not take us a picture of what's happening now. (Janaina - no teasing about trips to the beach!)

Max has come to Marne's house

Isn't he sooooooo cute! I just love him. He arrived today - a return exchange from Simone. I have loved the sheep she has made, so now I have one too. Max! Notice his wonderful tail with a heart button and his "feet". It is just very clever and I am delighted. Simone also sent a kit for a little "Welcome" hanger as well as some cute Debbie Mumm fabric with the 12 days of Christmas. (which is coming soon) Fabulous - thank you very much.

A Crazy Exchange with Taija

I sent Taija a Crazy exchange with a Christmas flavour and you can see it all on her Finnish blog here. She told me that she liked everything. I made a small cross stitch as a top for a box I had. I put felt on the top of the brown box to make it more Christmas looking. The box has a small drawer so I could fill it with surprises! I forgot to take a photo so this is from Taija's blog. I am happy that you liked the exchange Taija. Happy Christmas to you and your family.

Christmas Ornament for Lisa

Lisa let me know she received the Christmas Ornament I stitched for her. It is a Prairie Schoolers Design, of Book 142, A Cranberry Christmas. I stitched it with DMC 3815 and Belle Soie, Rose of Sharon.
I used a nice backing fabric, but I forgot to take pictures (this one is made by Lisa for me).

Very Pretty Quilt from Marne

I am so lucky! I just received such a pretty exchange from Marne today - she made me a beautiful quilt table runner, similar to the one I was oogling that she sent to Simone! What a surprise, and what a treat! It already adorns my dining room table, and looks fantastic there. Marne's work is so lovely.

Lucky me - an exchange from Finland

My mail lady left me a little parcel just now and see what was inside. A marvelous Marimekko fabric toiletries bag from Taija. (I pulled the lining out so you could see that too - isn't it so cute?) Inside there were assorted beauty products - I will be gorgeous! And a little porpoise - tell me about that Taija. (he is very cute).

I am getting ready to go to New Orleans, Louisiana next week. So the timing for this is just perfect. Thank you Taija, for your great exchange. Now what shall I begin?
